We are off and running in our study of the Book of Hebrews. Your questions and comments are adding so much to the class. While we are on a pretty aggressive schedule to complete this study in 13 weeks, I don’t want to miss out on what each of you have to add. This coming Wednesday we will cover Chapter one and time permitting the first few verses of Chapter two. Let me encourage you in your preparation to read this first chapter a few times and the entire letter at least once this week. Disciplined reading of the letter will make all the difference in the world in the retention of what you learn.

One of the areas of our study this coming week will deal with Angels. I have added a link to an article written by a Jewish Rabbi that will give you some back ground on Jewish thought concerning Angels. Angels by Rabbi Geoffrey W. Dennis.

I have added some additional links to the right as study aids. As with much of the Bible, the Book of Hebrews is a Jewish book. Understanding the context in which the writers lived is often very important in understanding what the writer says. So I have added a link to an online Jewish Encyclopedia. This work is filled with material that can aid your study. Another similar site, but more from a Christian background is Follow The Rabbi . There is allot of great information here as well.

If you have questions or comments at any time be sure to pass them along. Until next Wednesday, God Bless!
